There are seven types of track inspections that we can perform depending on the customer's particular needs.

Track inspections

We have provided reliable, independent third party railway track inspection and track maintenance planning services to industrial facilities since 1988. Our railway track inspections are thorough, unbiased, and professionally performed. We are not a track repair contractor and do not provide track inspections to gain track repair work. Our programs have worked very well at facilities where track maintenance and repairs are performed by plant personnel, on-site contractors, or project contractors.  We have performed monthly, quarterly, or annual track inspections for many of our current industrial customers for more than 10 years.

Inactive rail line patrols are for rail lines not currently being operated on but are being preserved for future rail use. The rail line is patrolled for storm damage, destruction, theft, and property encroachments.

Post derailment inspections examine track and turnouts involved in a derailment to determine if this track was the primary or a contributory cause for the derailment.

Track material inspections inspect used track materials for compliance to the customer specifications or suitability for intended use. Suggested track material inventories can also be developed.

Monthly, annual, or multiple year track maintenance plans can be prepared. These plans are carefully crafted to reflect each customer's current track conditions, operating characteristics, future track requirements, and corporate resources.

Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Track Safety Standards compliance inspections make certain the customer's tracks and turnouts comply with minimum requirements prescribed in CFR Title 49 Part 213.

General railway maintenance practices inspections consider minimum FRA Standards as well as generally accepted rail industry practices for those portions of track and track maintenance not subject to FRA Standards.

Track condition assessments compare the existing conditions of particular trackage with the current and long term needs for that trackage. Immediate and multiple year track maintenance plans are formulated to determine the feasibility for necessary track rehabilitation work.

Track work in progress and final inspections protect the customer by inspecting the track work performed by contractors and subcontractors to make certain that the customer's specifications are followed using appropriate materials and workmanship.
